We had a great weekend up in the Twin Cities hitting Ichiban Japanese Restaurant and the Timberwolves game. I loved seeing my brother and his beautiful wife! Stayed at the beautiful Embassy Suites near the airport. The only bad thing about the hotel (and if you want to use the LightRail it isn't bad) but the LightRail going by every 6 minutes starting at 5am....ugh. The room was nice but wish the bathroom had been out in the main area. Breakfast Buffet was wonderful as usual. After the game we came back to the hotel and stop by the bar (lounge) for a drink. They had a good menu and tried their Cheese Platter which was great. I hope to find the flavored almond nuts they served and bought a chuck of Smoked Gouda today at Sam's Club because it was so tasty.
The Embassy Suites Lounge has a great selection of beers.
Thank you to the DoubleTree for the parking and the Wall Street Journal wish I had accepted the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies but I was strong. Next time I want to stay downtown.
The GAME was terrific. I met up with an old high school friend and his wife, Mike & Chris Esping.
